K J Howells and Son have been retailing the COELAN® range for many years, and have also had many personal successes with its use.  After reviewing Coelan for many years we are confident that Coelan is probably the only coating that can be applied to Teak for years of maintenance free woodwork  We believe Coelan is the ultimate wood coating available on the market, outlasting any high quality varnish, and once applied will not require re-coating for many years.

Coelan is a liquid one component polyurethane coating that remains permanently flexible.  Due to the properties of Coelan, such as Total UV resistance; High elasticity (335 % elongation at break); Cellular (allowing the wood to continue 'Living') and Extremely hard wearing, Coelan has to be the Ultimate Teak Coating. The anti-slip qualities of Coelan make it ideal for decks, however for high risk areas, use the anti-slip granules to the final coat. Coelan can also be used as an long lasting paint by adding the colour paste. Coelan can last for several years before a recoat is needed, and you won't need to rub back down to bare wood again. Just abrade with 80-grit sandpaper and apply a few more coats of top coat
